Auxilia
Auxilia is a Catholic sisterhood for girls in Grades 6–12, rooted in the Salesian spirit of joy, friendship, simplicity, and holiness. Inspired by Mary, Help of Christians (in Latin, Maria Auxilium Christianorum) and the Salesian Saints, Auxilia seeks to help each girl discover and embrace the beauty, dignity, and unique gifts God has given her and they are encouraged to recognize and develop the unique gifts of their femininity—to love, nurture, create, accompany, lead, and bring beauty and goodness to the world.
Following the example of Mary, Help of Christians, Auxilia encourages girls to grow in holiness every day and everywhere—at home, at school, at church, and the playground.
Auxilia meets on the 4th Sunday of the month from 6 to 8:30 pm at the St. Benedict's Parish Hall.
Joy
Joy is more than happiness. It is grounded in the faith of the Resurrection. Suffering and death are not the end of the story. Rejoice always!
Friendship
We aren't meant to live this life alone. Jesus called together a community and called each of us his friend. There is no greater love than to lay down your life for you friend. It is better to walk together.
Simplicity
We can make our life and faith too complicated at times, especially with the distractions of social media. Jesus calls us to live a simpler life.
Holiness
Jesus calls each of us to be a Saint. Together, in joy, simplicity and friendship we can walk together in holiness.
